Vanessa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Woodland Centers. She is fluent in Spanish and is committed to meeting the needs of her clients by making them feel supported during the therapeutic process.
Vanessa has over 15 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, immigrants, individuals, and families who were affected by abuse, addiction, trauma, loss, divorce, and family violence. Most recently she worked as a mental health social worker with the Air Force and Army where she provided psychotherapy services to active-duty service members and their families. She provided violence prevention briefings and outreach to commanders/sergeants and base organizations. She utilizes a blend of solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, client-centered and cognitive processing therapy.
Vanessa is Licensed in the state of Minnesota and Texas. She obtained her MSW degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She obtained her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI.
