Adolescent Group Therapy
Adolescent Group Therapy is developed for individuals ages 13-18 who are engaging in patterns of behavior that are negatively impacting relationships and success. The goal of group is to replace maladaptive behavior (conflict with others; substance abuse; school issues; anger; self-harming behavior; emotional problems) with effective coping and problem-solving strategies utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. Individuals learn and practice skills to change behavioral, emotional and thinking patterns associated with problems in living. A commitment of 16 weeks covers all skill areas. Participants are required to have an individual therapist during the course of group therapy.
