Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an intensive array of services for people struggling with serious and chronic disorders. ACT is a team effort geared toward enhancing well-being and reducing repetitive hospitalizations. Services are delivered to people in their homes or elsewhere in the community.
Through learning information about mental illness and its treatment people can become empowered to manage their own goals for recovery and assume responsibility for directing their own treatment. For more information on these programs contact Sheila Loya, Team Leader.
