Woodland Centers was certified as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) as of January 1, 2022. Visit the MN DHS CCBHC website to learn more about what this means for WC, our clients, and the communities we serve. We have implemented many changes over the course of the last 6 months and will have more changes coming over the course of 2022. Some of these changes include hiring care coordinators across the center, moving from Diagnostic Assessments to Comprehensive Evaluations, and implementation of an Integrated Treatment Plan. Woodland Centers, like all mental health and substance use providers across the state, is facing a huge supply and demand problem where we are receiving 2-3 times as many referrals for services compared to prior years but we have reduced capacity to provide services due to various open positions across the agency. Woodland Center’s staff across the agency are working hard to provide services and ensure high quality care is being delivered but the bottom line is that there is more demand than what we have capacity to serve at this time. Administration at Woodland Centers is working to create and implement various solutions but this will take time to resolve. Unfortunately, workforce issues and timely access to care is problematic across our state and nation and it will require various creative solutions to implement meaningful change. Financially, after facing a difficult year in 2021, I am happy to announce that we have started the year in the black and are forecasting a healthy financial outlook for the year. At Woodland Centers, we believe connections transform lives. We appreciate all of our connections with our staff, clients and community partners to help us bring our beliefs and mission to life.
