This training series is open to any community member that would like to attend. The cost for this series is $30.00. This one time charge covers all of the training dates, you can choose to go to one or all three. This series is facilitated by Christa Otteson, founder and principle of Vela Strategy.

June 12: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Key Concepts
This 1-hour webinar will examine these concepts, how they relate to one another, and the implications for claiming these values for individuals and organizations. 1 hour zoom from 12pm-1pm, via Zoom.

July 10: Lutefisk, Lutherans, and Lagom: Scandinavian Culture in the Midwest
Christa will share parts of her own cultural landscape to explore how Scandinavian roots interplay with American ideals to shape relationships, teams, and communities. 1 hour zoom from 12pm-1pm, via Zoom.

August 21: Cultural Landscape Workshop
Participants will be guided through art, story, and reflection to depict their own cultural heritage, belief systems, and biases. We will be using glue, scissors, paints, and a variety of materials in this entry-level, fun, exploratory experience. 2.5 hours
