Dorothy Anderson M.D.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology

Dr. Anderson provides child and adolescent psychiatric evaluations, individual and family therapy, and ongoing outpatient medication management in cooperation with psychotherapists. She also provides consultation to physicians and schools.

Dr. Anderson grew up in rural Lac qui Parle County, received a BA from Augsburg College, and a medical degree from the University of Minnesota in 1972. Dr. Anderson completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by general and child psychiatry, finishing in 1979. The Wilder Child Guidance Clinic in St. Paul, Minnesota and the Mendota Mental Health Center in Madison, Wisconsin employed Dr. Anderson prior to her beginning at Woodland Centers in 2002. In addition, for 18 years Dr. Anderson was in private practice in rural Illinois. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified Dr. Anderson and she is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Meaghan Casey

Doctor of Medicine

Dr. Meaghan Casey is a licensed psychiatrist who began practicing in 2015.  Her background includes a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology from SUNY-Stony Brook.  She then worked for Pfizer in their pharmaceutical sales division, which led her to Ross University where she earned her medical degree.  She completed her residency at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus, NJ.  She has practiced at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ working in Substance Abuse Services and the Treatment Linkage and Case Management Program, which caters to mentally ill patients who have struggled to succeed with more traditional treatment.  She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Deborah Colon

APRN-CNP, FNP, PMHNP - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Deborah Colon is Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree as an RN and her Master of Nursing Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner through North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota in 1996 and 2004 respectively. Deborah practiced in primary care and addiction medicine for 12 years and throughout her career, she developed a passion for working with mental health and went on to obtain her Post-Master's Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in 2016. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Liberty A. Eberly

D.O., Psychiatrist

Dr. Liberty Eberly is a licensed Psychiatrist practicing since 2007 in Community Mental Health. This includes experience providing telepsychiatry full time for the over three years. Dr. Eberly earned her D.O. degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie, PA. She also holds a Master's in Medical Education.

Kristel Hart

R.N., C.N.S., B.C. ANCC Certified in Adult, Child, & Adolescent

Kristel Hart is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and medication management for all ages.

Ms Hart received her nursing education in Duluth, Minnesota, bachelor's degree from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois and a master's in nursing from the University of Minnesota. She is board certified in both adult and child and adolescent psychiatric and mental health nursing and has been employed at Woodland Centers since 2000. Prior to Woodland Centers, Ms Hart worked at Willmar Regional Treatment Center in both outpatient and inpatient adult and youth services.

Barbara E. Little

M.S.N., A.R.N.P.-C.

Barbara came to Woodland Centers April 2013 from Arizona. Barbara provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients aged 18 and older.

Barbara received her Master's Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She has worked in a variety of settings for psychiatric clients. She is certified as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Barbara has worked in Florida and Arizona prior to moving to Minnesota.

Paula Tofte

P.M.H.N.P. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Paula Tofte, originally from Golden Valley, ND, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, in 1994 and her Master’s of Science Degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, in 2011. The majority of her nursing career has been in the Mental Health and Correctional Nursing Field, beginning as an RN at the ND State Correctional Facility, Bismarck, ND, as the Director of Medical and Psychiatric Services at the James River Correctional Center, Jamestown, ND, and Clinical Director at Prairie Correctional Facility, Appleton, MN. Prior to obtaining her Master’s degree, Paula was the RN Manager for Avera Marshall Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and Avera Psychiatry Associates Outpatient Clinic, Marshall, MN. She completed her clinical practicum at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center, St. Peter, MN, with the Serious and Persistent Mentally Ill population, and Blue Earth County Mental Health Clinic, Mankato, MN. Paula joined Woodland Centers as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in July, 2012. Prior to joining Woodland Centers, she worked as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Lake Region HealthCare Center, Fergus Falls, MN, practicing Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health.

Paula is Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Andrew Fink

Psy. D. Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Andrew Fink provides a variety of services to children, adolescents, and adults.  He conducts outpatient individual and family psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and psychological testing at the Kandiyohi, Chippewa, and Renville centers.

Dr. Andrew Fink received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York in Brockport, NY.  Additionally, he attained his Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and his Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois.

Pamela Jacobson

Psy.D. L.P., Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Pamela Jacobson provides outpatient therapy, psychological assessments, and psychological testing services for children, adolescents, and adults at the Montevideo and Dawson offices.  She works with a broad range of mental health issues but particularly enjoys working with personality disorders, depression, anxiety, co-occurring chemical dependency issues, and behavioral concerns- including ADHD. She has intensive training and experience in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and treating personality disorders.

Dr. Jacobson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2007 and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in 2013.

Ashley Kjos

Psy. D., L.P. Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Kjos currently operates as Clinical Director. She provides outpatient psychological assessments, psychological testing, and individual therapy for adults and adolescents in the Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, and Meeker Centers. Dr. Kjos provides group therapy in the DBT Skills Group day treatment program. She co-facilitates the outpatient Depression Management Training group in Willmar. She co-facilitates the outpatient Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group in Willmar, and provides DBT individual therapy.

Dr. Kjos attended Minnesota State University Moorhead where she received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Kjos completed an APA accredited psychology internship at the Wichita Collaborative Psychology Internship Program in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Kjos joined the Woodland Centers’ staff in 2011.

Julie Patten

Doctor of Psychology

Dr. Julie Patten provides a variety of services to children, adolescents, and adults.  She conducts outpatient individual psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and psychological testing at the Kandiyohi and Meeker centers. Her interests in counseling are in working with individuals who have depression, anxiety, difficulty with attachment, and autism. She completes psychological testing for individuals ages three and up, for concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and autism.

Dr. Julie Patten received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master's degree in applied behavior analysis at St. Cloud State University.  Additionally, she attained her Doctorate of Psychology at the University of St. Thomas. She is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Sherri Jeffrey.

Melissa Maas

Psy.D., L.P. Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Maas provides psychological assessment and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and some adults. Currently, Dr. Maas provides services in the Willmar and Litchfield centers. She provides clinical leadership to the Youth Partial Hospital Program, where she provides group and family therapy as well as supervision. She also provides clinical supervision to the Home-Based program and is clinical lead of the New Connections Youth Day Treatment Program. In addition to direct client services, and program involvement, Dr. Maas serves as a consultant to several multidisciplinary teams in our communities.

Karen Urban

Psy. D. Mental Health Counselor

Dr. Urban provides assessment and therapy to children and adults in the Kandiyohi and Benson Centers. She is involved in various programs at the Center including Outpatient, Youth Partial Hospitalization, and Crisis Center. She is especially interested in the assessment and treatment of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other behavioral problems.

Dr. Urban earned her doctoral degree at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology in the child track program. In 2011, she completed an internship at Mercy Medical Center, North Iowa. She is currently in her post-doctoral year under the supervision of Dr. Melissa Parkhurst.

Sara Barber

M.A., L.P.C.C.

Sara received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.  She received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary, Denver, CO.  She worked as the School-Linked Mental Health clinician for the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa district and has previously worked in the Youth Day Treatment Program.  Sara is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children ages 5-18.

Rachel Bollerud

M.A., L.P.C.C

Rachel provides individual, marital, and family therapy in the Lac qui Parle, Chippewa, and Kandiyohi offices.  Although she has a passion for working with children ages 0-5 and adolescents/young adults, she enjoys working with clients of all ages.  Areas of interest include play therapy and other creative therapeutic approaches, and working with clients with attachment-related issues, a history of trauma, parenting or family struggles, adjustment, grief/loss, and anxiety.

Rachel received her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Psychology from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN.  She then received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, graduating in 2012.  She has been providing therapeutic services in rural MN since 2013 and was hired by Woodland Centers in 2016.

Kristle Chase

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W.

Kristle Chase provides individual, group and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families through the school linked mental health for Woodland Centers.  She received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Work from Concordia College in Moorhead in 2007.  Kristle received her Master's degree in Social Work from Augsburg College in Minneapolis in 2011. She has a wide range in experience working with all ages 3-97.   Special areas of interest include play therapy, anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment, emotional and behavioral regulation, human development/developmental disabilities and parenting techniques.

Pamela Dahl

M.S., L.M.F.T. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Ms. Dahl provides outpatient counseling at the Kandiyohi office. She also provides clinical supervision at the Intensive Residential Treatment Program.

Ms. Dahl received her bachelor's degree in applied psychology and her master's degree in counseling psychology from St. Cloud State University. She completed course work, with an emphasis on marriage/family therapy, at St. Mary's College in Minneapolis. Ms. Dahl worked for the Centers' from 1991 to 1992 and returned in 1994 after completing graduate school. In 1996, Ms. Dahl received her license as a marriage and family therapist.

Lori Dunham-Morton

M.S., L.P. Licensed Psychologist

Lori Dunham Morton provides clinical services to the Youth Day Treatment Program and Outpatient Services including assessments; and individual, family, and group therapies. She leads the Outpatient Adolescent Group, ages 13-18, who are managing personal, family, peer and school-related issues. Lori is Unit Director of Outpatient Clinical Services. She serves as a representative to local agencies to address the mental health services and needs of adults, children, and families in our communities.

Ms. Dunham Morton received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis; and her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud. She joined Woodland Centers in 1993.

Eva Fink

L.P.C.C.

Eva Fink graduated from Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2011 with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Eva has experience working with dual diagnosed teens and families in residential and intensive outpatient settings.  She has worked with the Woodlands school-linked mental health program in multiple school districts since 2012.

Dan Gentile

M.S., L.P. Licensed Psychologist

He is in the Montevideo office T-F and sees clients on Mondays in the Dawson office. In his clinical work, he provides diagnostic assessments, as well as individual therapy with children, adolescents, adults and families.

Dan received a BA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1974 and an MS degree from South Dakota State University in 1993. He has been licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology since 1996. Dan has worked in a variety of fields including education, corrections and mental health.

Kathy Herzog

M.A.

Kathy Herzog received her Master of Arts in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy in July of 2014. She had been working in private practice for several years providing individual psychotherapy prior to Woodland Centers. She works with a variety of individuals with symptoms of depression, anxiety, adjustment issues and relationship conflict. Her focuses are on individuality, life balance, self-awareness and personal choice. Kathy is also a Masters Level Certified Life Coach which brings the skill of working with intrinsic values to therapy. She will be working with adolescents 15 years old and above, adults and couples.

Jeanne Jacobs

M.Ed., L.P.C., N.C.C.

Jeanne holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling from North Dakota State University. She is licensed in MN, ND, and WY as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is working toward her Clinical Counselor license. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Jeanne has experience working in the State of Wyoming in the areas of trauma, mental health and addictions, SPMI populations, domestic violence and parenting issues. She joined Woodland Centers in January, 2016, working in Outpatient Mental Health and Intensive Outpatient Dialectical Behavior Therapy in the Willmar office.

Andy Johnson

M.A., L.M.F.T. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Mr. Johnson provides individual, family and marital/couples therapy to clients in Kandiyohi and Renville counties. He also provides clinical supervision and assessments for the Woodland Centers Crisis Center program.

Mr. Johnson received his master's degree from the Alfred Adler Graduate School in Hopkins with emphasis on marriage and family therapy. He received his bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University with emphasis on psychology and philosophy. He has been with the Centers since 1991.

Ralph Johnson

L.I.C.S.W., L.M.F.T

Mr. Johnson has held several administrative positions with Woodland Centers and served as Director of Outpatient Services from 1978-2000. He has a background in philosophy and with this an interest in incorporating philosophical insights into his clinical work. He is also interested in the interpretation of dreams as well as the value of poetry as clinical work.

A Duluth native, Mr. Johnson earned his bachelor's degree from Augsburg College, and his master's degree from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.

In Minnesota, he received his license as an independent clinical social worker and as a marriage and family therapist. He is also a Board certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work and a Board approved clinical supervisor in marriage and family therapy, as well as clinical social worker. Mr. Johnson has been full-time with the Centers since 1967 and served in a part-time capacity earlier.

Lori Kendall

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W.

Lori Kendall, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, provides individual therapy to children ages 5 and up, as well as adults of any age.  Lori has experience working with developmental trauma (abuse/neglect/attachment) as well as single incident trauma(s) in children and adults.  In addition, Lori works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation issues, behavioral issues, parenting issues, and those impacted by family violence.  Whole family therapy is utilized when appropriate.  Past experiences also include School Linked Mental Health and In Home Counseling.

Lori completed her Bachelor of Social Work and Spanish degree from Northwestern College (Orange City, IA) in 2005 and her Master of Social Work from the University of St. Catherine (St. Paul, MN) in 2010.  Lori utilizes concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment focused therapies, solution focused interventions, strengths based interventions and trauma sensitive interventions.  Lori has completed a practitioner training in Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI) through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (Texas Christian University).  She also completed EMDR training.

Stacey Kuhl

M.A., L.M.F.T. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Stacey Kuhl, LMFT, provides assessments as well as individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families through Woodland Centers School Linked Mental Health Program. Ms. Kuhl is the coordinator for the School Linked Mental Health Program.

Ms. Kuhl received a Bachelor’s Degree in both Psychology and Christian Studies from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Eagan, MN. She has been with Woodland Centers since 2008.

Sheila Loya

Mental Health Counselor

Sheila Loya, LPC, received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota, majoring in Art Therapy with minors in Psychology and Business Administration.  She graduated with her Master's from the University of Texas in El Paso with a major in Educational Psychology and Guidance, specializing in Agency Counseling.  Sheila has been licensed for over 20 years.  Her work has included partnering with children, adolescents, adults and families in outpatient, inpatient, day treatment and residential settings.  She enjoys working with individuals who are dealing with a history of trauma, depression, anxiety, legal issues, relationship issues, behavioral issues and psychosis.

Tim Lucas

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Mr. Lucas provides outpatient psychotherapy and assessments for youth, families, and adults at the Kandiyohi, Chippewa, and Renville Centers. He also provides crisis intervention services to youth, families, and adults at the Woodland Centers' Crisis Center in Willmar. He provides group therapy and clinical supervision for the Woodland Centers Day Treatment Program and ARMHS services in the Chippewa Center. He provides individual clinical supervision in the Kandiyohi Center.

Mr. Lucas received his bachelor's degree in applied psychology from St. Cloud State University and his master of science in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1995, Mr. Lucas received his license as an independent clinical social worker. Woodland Centers has employed him since 1984.

Teresa McNamee

L.I.C.S.W.

Teresa provides assessments and outpatient psychotherapy for children, youth, and adults in the Kandiyohi and Meeker Centers.  She has over 16 years of direct social work practice in a variety of settings, including crisis lines and hospitals, youth development and outdoor education programs, as well as foster care and special education services.  Her primary areas of treatment include anxiety, behavioral disorders, depression, grief, and trauma-related experiences.  She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practice in her therapy sessions.

Teresa received her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005 and has maintained her license as a clinical social worker since 2009.  She also has a MS degree in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University (2012), where she combined her clinical background with experiential-based interventions for youth. 

Catherine Moudry

M.S., L.M.F.T Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Catherine Moudry is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She provides outpatient therapy to children, teens, and adults, as well as, family’s and marital/couples in Willmar and Olivia. She is also the co-facilitator of the Depression Skills Management Group. In the past she has also been involved in Home Base services, School Linked Mental Health, and some Youth Day Treatment Group and Crisis work.

Ms. Moudry earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Cloud State University. She also received her bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University with an emphasis in applied psychology, sociology, and speech communication. She has been employed by Woodland Centers since 2006.

Nick Mowes

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W.

Nick provides individual and group therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults through the Outpatient therapy program for Woodland Centers. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Military Science from the Brigham Young University in 2010. After completing his undergraduate work, Nick went on to receive his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2014. He is currently completing his post-graduate work toward his licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Prior to joining Woodland Centers, Nick completed internships with San Diego Youth Services with their Homeless Youth Shelter and Counseling Center. He has also worked with Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA as part of their Intensive Outpatient Program and Wounded Warrior Battalion-West. During his time in California, Nick also served as the Program and Operations Manager for Hope Village San Diego, a program for individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. In 2014, Nick and his family moved to Minnesota and worked as a therapist with the St. Cloud VA Health Care System 

Nick has experience working with individuals between the ages of 12 – 95 providing mental health treatment.  His experience has focused on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD and other trauma related disorders, and personality disorders as well as Military and Veteran mental health and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). Treatment modalities and certifications include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Brief Problem Solving Therapy.

Heidi Peterson

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W.

Heidi Peterson provides mental health counseling services to children, adolescents and adults in Woodland Center’s School Linked Mental Health program and in the Litchfield office.  She has many years of experience providing in-home counseling with children/families, children’s mental health case management and most recently, co-occurring chemical dependency and mental health residential services for adolescents.  Heidi graduated from St Cloud State University in 1996 with a BS in Applied Psychology and Chemical Dependency Counseling. Her Masters in Social Work degree was completed at the University of St Thomas in 2011. She has interests and training working with young parents, children and adolescents, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, dual diagnosis issues, emotional and behavioral regulation and attachment related concerns.

Stephanie Pierce

M.S.W., L.G.S.W.

Ms. Pierce provides individual, group and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families through the school linked mental health program for Woodland Centers. Stephanie received a double bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts for the Human Services and Psychology from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2012. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University in 2014. Stephanie is currently working towards obtaining her license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Stephanie has experience working with individuals between the ages of 4 – 95 providing mental health treatment.  Experience has predominantly provided mental health services in rural setting including: in home, private practice, community action agency, a visitation center, and a minimal security female adolescent treatment center. Experience has focused on depression, play therapy, adjustment, family therapy, emotional and behavioral regulation, cognitive behavioral therapy, and sex trafficking. Stephanie is a credentialed as a Sand Tray Therapist and enjoys using sensory techniques with clients of all ages.

Joshua Pierskalla

M.S., L.A.M.F.T.

Joshua is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who provides diagnostic assessments, as well as individual, group, marital/couple, and family therapy services to youth and adults at the main Willmar center. He is currently working towards full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist under the clinical supervision of Pamela Dahl. He currently works as a clinician in the New Connections Youth Day Treatment Program, Outpatient Services, Youth Crisis, and Adult Day Treatment.

Joshua’s clinical experience consists of working with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, sexual abuse, marital issues, family issues, adjustment issues, and grief/loss. Joshua utilizes the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, and provides his treatments from a systemic perspective and framework, within the contexts of family systems. 

Joshua received his Bachelor's degree in Community Psychology from St. Cloud State University in 2012. He then went on and received his Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, also from St. Cloud State University, in 2014. During his graduate studies, he worked with sexual offenders and gained clinical experience in providing individual, group, marital/couple, and family therapy services. Joshua has been employed by Woodland Centers since December of 2014.

Carmon Privatt

Carmon holds a Master of Science in agency counseling.  Carmon's experience is primarily with dual diagnosis individuals.  Most of Carmon's previous experience has been with individuals on probation and parole. Carmon's area of specialty is with high-risk adolescents carrying dual diagnosis and struggling to accept societal norms.

Currently, Carmon is a part of the Intensive Family Based Services team in Kandiyohi County and works in conjunction with Kandiyohi Family Services providing for the needs of families in crisis. Carmon joined Woodland's team of professionals in May 2014 and enjoys the many opportunities to consult with and be a part of such a dynamic, skilled group of individuals.

Reagan Quinn

M.A., L.P.C.C.

Reagan Quinn received her undergraduate degree in Science and Mathematics from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota and her Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in Denver, CO.  Reagan came to Woodland Centers with a background as a program director and mental health professional to chemically dependent adolescents and their families through an inpatient residential treatment program.  She will be working in School-Linked Mental Health.

Casey Rice

L.P.C.C.

Casey received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse.  She holds a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.  She is licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is working towards her Clinical Counselor license.  Casey has experience with both adults and children in a variety of settings including mental health centers, communities, and currently is working in the schools as a School-Linked clinician.

Nadine Rooney

M.S.W., L.G.S.W.

Nadine provides individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families through the School Linked Mental Health Program for Woodland Centers. Nadine received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Educational Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul in 2014. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University in St. Paul in 2016. She is currently working towards obtaining her license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Nadine has experience working with diverse groups of children, adolescents, and young adults, including individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.  

Cassie Sonstegard

M.A., L.P.C.C. Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Ms. Sonstegard has been working at Woodland Centers since 2007 and has experience in many programs including Adult Foster Care, crisis center, Adult and Youth Partial Hospital programs, School-Linked Mental Health, outpatient services, and Assertive Community Treatment. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 2007 and her Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University in 2010. She is currently working as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the Assertive Community Treatment. She is the team leader and provides clinical supervision for the ACT program, serving the SPMI population in Big Stone, Swift, Chippewa, Lac Qui Parle, and Kandiyohi Counties.

R. Craig Swenson

M.A., L.A.D.C.

Craig received his Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College in Albany, New York. He holds a Master's degree in Addiction Counseling Advanced Practice from Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies in Center City, Minnesota.  He is licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is working towards his Clinical Counselor license. Craig has experience with both adults and adolescence in the addiction and mental health field in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient and Equine Assisted Therapy. He is currently working in BOLD and RCW school districts as a School-Linked Mental Health Counselor.

Laura Tersteeg-Beier

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Laura Tersteeg-Beier provides outpatient psychotherapy and assessments for adults at the Kandiyohi and Lac Qui Parle Centers. She also provides group therapy with DBT Day Treatment Skills Group and therapy with the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.

Laura started with Woodland Centers in 2002 in our Crisis/Detox Center. She moved into working with our ARMHS programs being Coordinator in our Swift County satellite clinic. She did work on our ACT team when she left in 2008. Laura returns as an LICSW with a passion in working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, adjustments, and trauma as well as working with our Nation's Veterans (worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs).

Karley Weir

MSW, LGSW

Ms. Weir provides individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families through Woodland Centers School Linked Mental Health Program. Karley received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2014. She received her Master of Social Work degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2016. Currently, she is working towards obtaining her license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Heidi Winter

M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Heidi Winter provides outpatient psychotherapy and assessments for adults at the Kandiyohi and Lac Qui Parle Centers. She also provides crisis intervention services to youth, families and adults at the Woodland Centers’ Crisis Center in Willmar. She co-facilitates the outpatient Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group in Willmar, and provides DBT individual therapy.

She received her Bachelor's degree in social work from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall and received a Master's of Social Work degree from the University of St Thomas/College of St. Catherine. In 2008, she received her license as an independent clinical social worker. Since 2006, she has worked at Woodland Centers.

Steven Yerka

L.I.C.S.W.

Steve brings a rich background of education, career experience, and life experience to his employment. He has a Master's in Social Work with a focus on administration from Ohio State University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Cloud State University in 2004. He also has a minor in Child and Family Studies. He has worked most recently as an Intensive Behavior Intervention Specialist and a Mental Health Counselor/Therapist. Additionally, he has worked as a Job Coach/PCA, and performed various administrative and support roles serving children, families, schools, and other community entities. Steve is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, and he provides intensive home-based services to children and families through a partnership between Woodland Centers and Kandiyohi County. His primary strengths as a Clinical Social Worker are in the areas of human development/developmental disabilities, anxiety, and depression.

Guadalupe Castillo

L.A.D.C. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Guadalupe Castillo has a BA in psychology. She is currently working on completing her Masters degree in psychology with specialization in clinical counseling. She has worked in Native American reservations and with the Hispanic population. She is fluent in Spanish speaking, writing and reading.

Nicholas Klein

L.A.D.C. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Nicholas Klein provides outpatient chemical dependency treatment for adults at the Kandiyohi Center. He also provides chemical use assessments, individual and family consultations, services in youth and adult partial treatment, and evaluations for adults at the Woodland Centers’ Detox Center in Willmar. He facilitates the Day Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Aftercare Treatment programs in Willmar.

He received his Bachelor's degree in psychology from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI in 2001. He completed his coursework for licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. In 2010, he became licensed as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has worked at Woodland Centers since 2012.

Greg Reuss

L.A.D.C. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Greg Reuss works in the Willmar Center, providing outpatient chemical
dependency treatment services, which includes primary outpatient group
therapy sessions for adults, individual and family consultations,
chemical use assessments, Rules 25 Assessments, and detox evaluations
for clients in Woodland Centers Detox facility.

Greg received his AA Degree at Ridgewater College in Willmar and is a
Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor. He has been working for Woodland
Centers since 1983.
