Outpatient DBT Group

 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a program to help individuals who display an ongoing pattern of behavioral, emotional, interpersonal, and/or cognitive instability and dysregulation. The group is based on four modules: Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance. Participants are required to attend individual therapy with a therapist of their choice and meet with that person at least every other week. They attend group each Tuesday from 1:00-3:00pm for the duration of treatment. Participants review and enter in to a contract with the DBT Team prior to beginning DBT group. A one year commitment is required when beginning DBT.
