Mental Health Practitioner - Litchfield ARMHS

 

A 32 hour (.8), Monday-Friday position with the potential to possibly work 40 hours per week within Meeker County ARMHS program, which promotes recovery by providing rehab services utilizing support, hope, and encouragement to people with psychiatric disabilities. Weekend Crisis/Detox LPN or RN Baylor Shift Nurse

Woodland Centers is a community leader in mental health.  We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Rehab Worker /Peer Specialist /Family Peer Specialist /Community Health Worker to function as a Behavioral Health Home Specialist within a multidisciplinary team working with youth and adults.  This is a Monday-Friday position based in our Willmar office, though some travel within our multi-county catchment area is required.  In this position, you will be working in our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) and you will work closely with a network of mental health, primary care, hospital and community providers to address the client’s goals for physical health, mental health, substance abuse and wellness.

 

Duties include:

 

  • Assist in stabilizing client’s mental health, chemical health, social health and medical needs.

 

  • Provide ongoing coaching, support, motivation, encouragement and positive feedback.

 

  • Interact with clients on the phone or in person on a regular basis to build trusting relationships and assist the client with identifying barriers to accessing care.

 

  • Meet with clients before health care appointments to review client concerns and/or after appointments to review provider instructions.

 

  • Assist clients in accessing resources in order to follow provider instructions.

Woodland Centers is a regional leader in the delivery of mental health services.  We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Practitioner or Mental Health Worker to provide behavioral/skill-based interventions to children in the New Connections Youth Day Treatment program.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with elementary age children.  This is a Monday through Friday 9:30-6:00 position.  In this position, you will facilitate or co-facilitate psycho-educational groups that provide an environment for children to learn and refine skills (anger management, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, etc.) through repetition and practice.  You will also meet with families and other service providers to ensure coordination of care.

Substance Use Program Supervisor:

 

Primary Purpose:

 

To ensure compliance with standards for outpatient substance use treatment outlined in Rule 245G and to provide administrative supervision to licensed and license-eligible behavioral health professionals assigned to the Substance Use Program at Woodland Centers’ treatment sites – primarily in the Willmar and Montevideo offices.  Will work with other units and staff to ensure proper coverage of programs; manage time allocations of Program staff; and conduct supervisory duties (approximately 25% of full-time FTE).  Remainder (75%) of FTE will be providing direct clinical services within current position or where there may be other direct-care needs which could include substance use and/or outpatient mental health programs.  Direct care may also include clinical supervision for license-eligible staff and/or for partner agencies.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • State of Minnesota Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with five years of experience.

 

  • Skill in working with a variety of disciplines and agencies.

 

  • Skill in balancing administrative, fiscal, business and clinical principles.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Be familiar with, implement and disseminate information regarding Rule 245G standards.

 

  • Be familiar with and promote best practices according to 245G, SAMSHA, and ASAM.

 

  • Ensure employees perform within the scope of their job descriptions and competencies; follow policies outlining all disciplinary and performance protocols.

 

  • Develop job descriptions for new hires and update as necessary using available resources.

 

  • Provide new staff support and direction with regard to the orientation process.

 

  • Conduct annual job performance evaluations for supervisees.

 

  • Complete necessary forms ensuring accurate tracking of employee’s FTE; duties, program or site changes; and leave requests.

 

  • Meet Treatment Director qualifications within one year.

 

  • Meet with various Unit Directors to ensure efficient and effective work flows ie. staff schedules.

 

  • Ensure appropriate and necessary coverage for Woodland Centers detox unit and necessary consultation time within crisis center units.

 

  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with Chief Operating Officer in order to update and pro-actively problem-solve.

 

  • Whenever possible, resolve staff issues at supervisor level; seek further supervision as necessary.

 

  • In coordination with Chief Operating Officer, plan and lead weekly team/clinical meetings.

 

  • Attend regional and state functions as relevant to Woodland Centers and community.

 

  • Attend bi-monthly Clinical Services committee meetings as possible (1st/3rd Tue.; 11:00 am).

 

  • Promote positive staff morale, interactions and attitudes.

 

  • Administration and supervision of supervisees are in compliance with Human Resources policy 097.002 (employee supervision).
