Day Treatment Skill Training Group Using DBT

DBT is a program to help individuals who display an ongoing pattern of behavioral, emotional, interpersonal, and/or cognitive instability and dysregulation. Participants review and enter in to a contract with the DBT Team prior to beginning DBT group. Groups meet on a weekly basis at the Woodland Centers Willmar office, currently scheduled on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:35 am, or on Thursday afternoons from 1:00-3:35 pm. Participants in these groups are required to also have individual therapy, and are able to continue with their current treatment providers. The group is based on four modules: Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance. A full rotation, covering all four modules takes approximately 6 months to complete. A one year commitment is required when beginning DBT.
